CBT rewires your brain to think differently regarding your thoughts and beliefs, which influences your responses or actions. For example, when teaching yourself a new habit, you usually think about every step involved until you eventually achieve the new routine with little thought.

As a 'late bloomer' coach, healer & artist, I'm being guided to share a message that I pray may serve any of you who may struggle in an ALL too common way today. I have noted that too many of us in our elite category (former NFL & CFL cheerleaders) are too used to being valued externally for our beauty, talent & charisma. Am I right? Can you relate to being that adorable & talented people- pleasing little girl that your parents were SO proud of? Like me, did you grow up believing that your value rested in how beautiful you looked and how talented & successful you were? Think about it...how CRAZY was THAT!! Thankfully, society IS changing. However at one time, the patriarchy ruled...and our value rested in our beauty, talent & pleasing personality. Being pleasing to the male gaze & heart was power.
